An independent coffee shop well worth a visit. The food is well presented and delicious. The service is a tad slow so if pushed for time avoid. Nevertheless the quality is well worth it. The selection of blends of both tea and coffee is expansive and the friendly and polite staff are capable of making a range of drinks. Seating is available but limited.

One of the best Mochas in reading, made with real chocolate absolutely delicious! Also good selection of cakes/pastries and even some allergy free ones too. Definitely worth a vist.

Great coffee and excellent service. The croissants and bread were a 3.5 out of 5 but the cappuccino was absolutely amazing. Also has a lovely place to sit outside.

Great mochas with real chocolate ! Not much seating inside but it had a nice atmosphere. There were tables outside too but they weren't covered so only good if its not raining!

It's easy to see why C.U.P has come top in nationwide coffee houses when you have a coffee from here. From the outset the small and hidden location gives it a relaxed feel; the inside will hold 28 at full seating capacity, whilst leaving enough room so you are not cramped, and more seating outside with a quiet view of the church. The flat white is intensely full of flavour with absolutely no harsh bitterness, exactly what you want. The sandwiches look great and the quick ready-made offerings look better than you would find at a major chain coffee house. I had a quick sausage roll and unfortunately it was not good, microwaved to warm and the pastry became chewy and soft - I regret my choice on that front, however I didn't come here for the food. 1 star taken off for the food, had I not ordered it, 5 stars would be given.
